Privacy Policy
This policy explains what the Time Limit mobile game (the "Game") does with information when you play it on iPhone, iPad or Android. The Game is published by James Kaguo, P.O. Box 1802, Dodoma, Tanzania ("we", "us"). It applies to the Game and to this website. It does not apply to Apple, Google or any other company's own services, which have their own policies.

1. Summary
The Game has no accounts and no servers of ours. Your progress and settings stay on your device. Two third parties handle the only data that leaves the device: Google, which serves the ads in the free version, and the app store you installed from, which processes the Premium subscription. We never see payment details, and we never sell personal information.
| Information | Who handles it | Why | Your control |
|---|---|---|---|
| Save file, settings, Premium status cache | Only your device | To run the Game | Uninstall the Game to delete it |
| Advertising identifier, IP address, device and app details, ad interactions | Google AdMob and its partners | To serve, measure and limit ads; to prevent fraud | Tracking prompt (iOS), device ad settings, in-game Privacy options (where offered) |
| Purchase status, product and transaction identifiers | Apple App Store or Google Play; the Game reads the result | To activate Premium | Managed in your store account |
| Usage statistics: which districts are started and finished, where runs end, borrows, ads shown, subscription status, screens opened, device model and OS, app version, approximate region from IP, a random app-instance identifier | Google Analytics for Firebase | To understand how the Game is played and improve it | Settings › Share anonymous usage statistics; consent dialog in the EEA/UK/Switzerland |
| App events for ad measurement: install, app opens, the same game events as above, advertising identifier where you allow tracking, IP address, device and app details | Meta Platforms (Facebook) | To measure whether ads for the Game led to installs and play, and to build audiences for the Game's own advertising | Settings › Share anonymous usage statistics; tracking prompt on iOS; consent dialog in the EEA/UK/Switzerland |
| Your email and message if you write to us | Us | To answer you | Ask us to delete the thread |
2. What we do not collect
- No account, user name, password, email address or phone number is ever requested by the Game.
- No precise location. The Game does not use GPS or ask for location permission.
- No contacts, photos, camera, microphone, health or motion data.
- No analytics service of our own and no crash reporting. Usage statistics go only to Google Analytics for Firebase and Meta app events as described in section 7, and you can switch them off.
3. What stays on your device
The Game writes a small save file (your current district, remaining time, upgrades, rescues, badges and ending), your settings (reduced motion, haptics, sound) and a cached note of whether Premium is active. These live in the app's private storage, are not transmitted to us, and are removed when you uninstall the Game. Your platform's backup service may include them if you have backups enabled.
4. Advertising
The free version of the Game shows ads from Google AdMob (a service of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA, and Google Ireland Limited for users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland): one interstitial between districts and an optional rewarded video when you choose to borrow time after running out. Premium subscribers see no ads and the advertising software still ships inside the app but is not asked to load anything.
To serve an ad, the AdMob software in the Game may collect and send to Google:
- your device's advertising identifier (IDFA on iOS, only if you allow tracking; Google Advertising ID on Android, unless you have reset or deleted it);
- your IP address, from which an approximate location (city or region) may be inferred;
- device and app information such as model, operating system version, language, screen size, app version and time zone;
- how you interact with ads (views, clicks, whether a rewarded video was completed).
Google uses this to choose and deliver ads, cap how often you see the same ad, measure performance, and detect fraud and invalid traffic. With your consent or permission, ads may be personalized based on your interests; otherwise you receive non-personalized ads chosen from context alone. Google may share data with the advertising partners listed in the consent dialog. How Google uses information from apps that use its services is described at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites, and Google's own privacy policy is at policies.google.com/privacy.
5. Tracking and your choices
- iPhone and iPad. The first time you play, iOS asks whether to allow the Game to track you across other companies' apps and websites. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track", the Game cannot read your advertising identifier and you receive non-personalized ads. You can change this at any time in Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking.
- Android. You can delete or reset your advertising ID and opt out of ads personalization in Settings › Google › Ads (the exact path varies by manufacturer).
- EEA, UK and Switzerland. Before any ad loads, the Game shows a consent dialog provided by Google that lets you accept or refuse personalized advertising and the listed partners. You can revisit your choices at any time from Settings › Privacy options inside the Game.
- Premium. Subscribing removes every ad request from the Game.
6. Purchases and subscriptions
Premium is an auto-renewing yearly subscription sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The store collects your payment details, processes the charge, manages renewals and refunds, and holds the purchase history. The Game receives only the result: that a purchase for the Premium product succeeded, was restored, is pending, failed or was cancelled, together with the product identifier and a transaction identifier. We do not receive your name, card number or billing address. Apple's and Google's handling of payment data is described in their own privacy policies. We do not currently operate a server to validate receipts; if we add one, the receipt sent to it contains the transaction identifier and no payment details, and this policy will be updated first.
7. Usage statistics and diagnostics
The Game uses Google Analytics for Firebase (a service of Google LLC and, for users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, Google Ireland Limited) to understand how it is played. It reports which districts are started and finished and with what result, where runs end, when time is borrowed and how, when an ad was shown, whether Premium is active, which screens are opened, and the device model, operating system version, app version and language. Google assigns a random app-instance identifier to the installation, may derive an approximate region from your IP address, and may collect the advertising identifier where you have allowed tracking. Analytics storage is off until the consent flow has run; in the EEA, UK and Switzerland it stays off unless you consent in the dialog. You can turn usage statistics off at any time in Settings › Share anonymous usage statistics. Google keeps event data for up to 14 months and describes its handling at firebase.google.com/support/privacy. The statistics are not linked to a name, email or account, because the Game has none.
The Game also uses the Meta App Events SDK (Meta Platforms, Inc., 1 Meta Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025, USA, and Meta Platforms Ireland Limited for users in the EEA, UK and Switzerland) to measure whether advertising for the Game on Meta's services led to installs and play, and to build audiences for the Game's own advertising. When active it reports the install, app opens, the same game events listed above, the advertising identifier where you have allowed tracking, your IP address, and device and app details. Meta uses this under its own privacy policy and, for measurement, may match it to a Facebook or Instagram account you hold. The Meta SDK is not started until the consent flow has run; on iOS the advertising identifier is only used if you allowed tracking; in the EEA, UK and Switzerland it stays off unless you consent in the dialog; and in California Meta's Limited Data Use mode is enabled. The same Settings switch turns it off. You can also control ad measurement in your Facebook settings under "Activity off Meta technologies".
The Game sends us no crash reports. If you have opted in on your device to share diagnostics with developers, Apple or Google may show us aggregated, anonymised crash statistics through their developer consoles.
8. Children
The Game is not directed to children under 13 (or under the age at which a parent's consent is required for processing in your country, up to 16 in parts of the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The Game is submitted to the stores with an age rating that reflects its fantasy combat and its advertising. If you believe a child has used the Game in a way that provided us with personal information, contact us and we will help remove it.
9. Legal bases (EEA, UK, Switzerland)
| Processing | Legal basis |
|---|---|
| Running the Game and storing your save on your device | Performance of our contract with you (the Terms of Use) |
| Personalized advertising | Your consent, given in the consent dialog and, on iOS, the tracking prompt; withdrawable at any time |
| Non-personalized advertising, frequency capping, fraud prevention and ad measurement | Our legitimate interest in funding a free game and keeping its advertising honest, balanced against your interests; where the law requires it, your consent |
| Activating and restoring a Premium subscription | Performance of our contract with you |
| Usage statistics (Google Analytics for Firebase) | Your consent where the law requires it (EEA, UK, Switzerland); otherwise our legitimate interest in understanding and improving the Game, which you can override with the switch in Settings |
| Ad measurement and audiences (Meta app events) | Your consent where the law requires it (EEA, UK, Switzerland, and the iOS tracking prompt); otherwise our legitimate interest in measuring the Game's own advertising, which you can override with the switch in Settings |
| Answering your messages | Our legitimate interest in supporting players |
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live you may have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of personal information about you, to restrict or object to its processing, to withdraw consent, and to complain to a supervisory authority. Because the Game keeps your data on your device and we hold nothing that identifies you, most requests are best directed at the service that holds the data: Google for advertising data (see myadcenter.google.com and Google's privacy controls) and Apple or Google for purchase data. We will nonetheless help with any request you send us at the address below and respond within the time the law allows, usually one month.
11. California and other US states
We do not sell personal information. Allowing personalized advertising may count as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising under California law and as "targeted advertising" under other state laws. You can opt out by refusing tracking on iOS, using the in-game Privacy options where shown, or turning off ads personalization on your device; the Game then requests only non-personalized ads. We do not knowingly share the personal information of anyone under 16. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. California residents can contact us at the address below to exercise the right to know, delete or correct.
12. Retention and security
Data on your device stays until you delete it or uninstall the Game. Messages you send us are kept for as long as needed to resolve the matter and then deleted. Google and the stores retain data according to their own policies. The Game stores nothing of yours on our systems, so there is nothing of yours for us to secure beyond our email.
13. International transfers
Google and the app stores operate globally and may process the data described above in the United States and other countries. For transfers out of the EEA, the UK and Switzerland they rely on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses and the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where applicable. Details are in their policies.
14. Changes
We will update this policy when the Game changes how it handles information, for example if we add a receipt-validation service or a new ad partner. The effective date at the top changes with each version, and material changes will be announced inside the Game before they take effect.
